Removable sculptures

Concept

In his career as a sculptor of greater dimensions, Josep Bofill also shows a great interest for the miniature Works of the great Phoenician, Greek, Egyptian and Roman cultures. Following his own personal style, he creates a series of mini-sculptures, which contrast with the greater volumes, giving them a more intimate and fetishist character. Later, and without abandoning these values, he adapts these miniatures to the human portability, calling them “Sculptures to carry”, thus making his work even more sociable.

To achieve this he uses generally noble materials (silver, bronze, gold), though also recurring to other materials, whenever the work demands for it.

These Works are individually achieved, hand-made and signed by the author.
